hey i have an idea and wondering if this is possible in photoshop?
Basically i use Photoshop as a compositing program and work with alot of shots rendered images. We have a folder manger in our 3d software (3ds max and maya.)
Wondering is there is something similar can be done in Photoshop.
Looking for away to have a floating dialogue always open and above every-thing.
if theres away to set paths of folders into this dialogue. once you have loaded your shot folders in, when you select the folder you set, it will open up that folder in that location. Then you select the file in the folder and it will open up.
So its like holding links to your folder location, with one click will open that folder so you dont have to navigate to the folder.
i find that im wasting so much time endlessly navigating through folders to open images. i have attached what we use in are 3d package to give an better idea
you click on the shot and opens up the folder in its location.
this will be a great help thanks in advance!

Not sure if this would solve your problem, but as of Photoshop CC you can navigate to the document folder by clicking on the title bar of your document and selecting "Reveal in Explorer"
Other than that
Window > Extensions > Mini Bridge may do what you are looking for

thanks christianmagill, as for clicking on the title bar, i would need the document open before hand. what i would like is the list to been loaded before ant document is opened.
Mini Bridge is slow wastes too much memory, plus takes to much room in photoshop esp if you have alot of images opened.

Hi ,
I've created a html5 panel for your problem:
http://www.buliarca.net63.net/tools/pho ... anager.rar
You need to extract the archive here:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions\
And after that restart Photoshop and go to Windows>extensions>BCM FolderManager
When I will have a bit of time I will make it a flash panel also.
Hope this helped.

I see you are using Photoshop CS6, this panel only works for CC but I will try to create a flash panel that will work with cs6 as well, but this might take a while...sorry.

thanks c.buliarca, if theres away you can setup multiple projects that will be great, so almost how a group folder works in Photoshop, the group folder can be project then shots are inside it. but you can set the shot folders your self as you might not want all of the folders inside the folder.
You can click the project folder to hide the shots inside it that sort of thing.
hope that makes sense.
