Like most people, I have a unique issue which I cannot seem to solve.

Imagine you have a 2000x2000 image of a map and you import this map into a new layer in a PSD document whose dimensions are 800 x 600. Logically all you see is 800 x 600 pixels of the 2000x2000 image which was imported. You can move the image around to view various areas of the 2000x2000 image but the 800 x 600 document acts as a keyhole or master mask.

What I'm trying to figure out is how to export the entire 2000x2000 image regardless of the fact that the document size is 800 x 600.

If I could somehow poll the layer in the image stack for the dimensions of the content on that layer and some location details then perhaps I could change the canvas size, export, then return the canvas to it's original dimensions.

I would much rather just have the ability to export the image uncropped.

If this is possible, please enlighten me!

Sincerely,
Simon
