Hi all,
I'm looking to hire someone to create a script for my printing business. I've tried to do it myself but I am certainly not an expert. From what I've read, this may require scripting in both photoshop and indesign. I would be happy to pay if someone can complete this within a relatively short timeframe. The main steps in the script should look like this:
1) Open a CSV file that contains a list of image filenames, among other information
2) Open each of these images in photoshop
Then, for each image:
3) Change dimensions and resolution according to the information listed in a 2nd CSV (can be looked up by the image filename)
4) Adjust certain print settings: color handling method, etc
5) Select the proper paper present (same for all images)
6) Select proper paper size, again based off the information contained in the 2nd CSV mentioned in step 3
7) Print the image
Please let me know 1) if this is possible and 2) what the charge will be.
Thank you,

Have a look at the JavaScript Scripting Reference page 96
Here you will find the print setting that are available, you will see that selecting paper stock or size are not available to Photoshop scripting.

Thanks Paul. I did notice that, but I also saw some people suggest that this can be done through InDesign. So I was wondering if its possible to create a script that uses both programs to achieve what I'm looking for.

I don't know about InDesign, but it might be worth asking over at the InDesign scripting forum as well ...
