Assigning Number to Color

I'm looking to be able to assign a number to each color in a 244-color template for a pixel arts project I'm doing.

The objective is that each color has a number from 1 to 244 and that the script can be applied to assign a number to each pixel according to its color.

I found a script on a forum but when I apply it it does not recognize all the colors

For the script, the original photo needed to be enlarged x24 and it is quite slow to execute, I hope you can give me some help

I attach the original photo, the enlarged one and the one processed with the script in addition to the script

I would appreciate help to complete my project.
