Hi Csuebele, I was hoping you were right about un checking the box next to Resize Image During Place in Preferences, but I tried it and still got the same results. I did try adding SO layers but using them to replace with new images is a little less elegant and would require re-doing about 60 templates with numerous openings. I think the file sizes of these would probably grow quite a bit using that method.

Very strange Mark. I am running the script via an action. Here is a quick video of using the script at this end...

It must be because you are using the UK version of Photoshop. LOL

Well, it has to be something on my end because when I run the script I get the images sized bigger than the entire document. Did it on 3 computers so far so just not sure if I have them set up to cause the problem. I can use your other scripts fine, and numerous scripts work fine too. I'll keep trying different things to see if I can straighten it out on my end. Thanks for all your help.

Ok, I just tried on on older Windows XP machine running Photoshop CS3 and it worked with your masking script. Go figure!

Strange things do happen, I know that a lot of problems occur if I am running ExtendScript Toolkit. It might be a another program that's conflicting, twain can and does affect batch. So it could be something like that.
