Centrally align a layer

Post by spidey »

Hi,

First time poster, long time lurker.

I had a question about aligning a layer to the centre to a specific point on the canvas.
I'm basically trying to align my t-shirt designs onto the chest area of the t-shirt image layer.
A lot of my designs have different heights and widths so I would like to be able to use the central x,y of
my design layer and translate it to the centre of the chest area on the t-shirt

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Centrally align a layer

You should be able to select the 2 layers and use the align from the layers menu to do this… I would imagine this is recordable in an action. With script you could get the 2 sets of bounds and calculate the translate x & y or use scriptlistener to do/record the first suggestion…
