Hi everyone,
I'm working with PSD files that contain hundreds of Smart Objects imported from different sources. Is it possible to create a Photoshop script that automatically renames each Smart Object layer based on the filename of the linked or embedded content inside the Smart Object?
For example, if a Smart Object contains an image named "product_red_shirt.jpg", the layer would automatically be renamed to "product_red_shirt".
I'm interested in solutions that work with both linked and embedded Smart Objects. Has anyone implemented something similar, or are there limitations in Photoshop scripting that would prevent access to the original file names?
