Script for masking multiple layers

Post by drewvis »

Hi there PS Scripts crew!

I was wondering if a script exists that will enable me to add a mask to multiple layers?

Here's a description of what I'm doing so it might help narrow down the requirement...

For my job, I regularly have psd files with lots of layers in that need *the same* mask that I apply to one layer, applied to all layers.

Currently the only way I can do it is by holding alt on my first mask and dragging it on to each of the other layers, which is time consuming, a bit fiddly and annoying.

What I want to be able to do is create my first mask and then apply it to all layers.

Any tips or advice would be massively appreciated - thanks!

Hi drewvis,, this not very difficult. I send you a PM with my email address. I need a PSD file with a mask that you want to apply to multiple layers.
When the job will be done, I shall copy the script here.
Regards.
