Window creation method...

...Hi Mates!
Great Forum here .

I think I've discovered something only thinking .

As You know You can create window as "dialog" type:

Code: Select allmyWinRef = "dialog{text:'Script Interface',\ ...

it works also if You put "window" or "palette" as creation type.

Creating windows with this types doesn't show the window (You can see them only using
step-by-step debugging with ExtendScript Toolkit) ... but so: You can create palette
like "history", "actions", "color" ... ?

Is there something like a tutorial about that? Are these undocumented creation types?

A 'palette' type does exist in Bridge scripting. I tested this a couple of days ago in PS CS2 and found that while the title line showed OK the content area did not. In Bridge the palette type can be used for a display that does not require user input, for example a progress window, and that was what I was after in PS but I don't think it can be made to work and with undocumented stuff like this you never know where it will work and where not.
