I've just released two new color ramps scripts (for Photoshop CS or later):
Visualize Adjustment Layers, used to interactively visualize (as curves map, gradient map and color table) the effect of cumulated adjustment layers,Combine Adjustment Layers, used to combine the effect of cumulated adjustment layers into a single curves adjustment layer.These two scripts are inspired by the impressive work done by Greg Apodaca at Photoshop Mechanics.

Personally I didn't know Greg Apodaca, but someone who is using a Curves Adj Layer w/ High-Pass layer mask and (!!) a Layer Effect: (black) Outer Glow to simulate sharpening... well he deserves all my respect!
Seems like his website is no longer maintained, alas!
