Manipulate Camera Raw's histogram through a script

Post by PaulJBis » Mon Apr 21, 2014 9:09 pm

I don't know if this is the right forum for this question, so apologies if I'm wrong.

I'm looking for a way to process a sequence of RAW files. What I need to do in each one of them is to move the exposure value (either up or down) until the highlights of the histogram are *almost* clipping, but without clipping. Is there any way to do this programatically?

Looking through the documentation, I haven't found any way to sniff the histogram's data or to get a warning when it clips. Is there a way at all?

Thanks in advance.
