Import Metadata for a PDF through Bridge

Hello,
I have been using Paul's script DescriptionLocationHeadlineDateII.jsx. It works great for my .jpg files but I have several images that are .pdf and the script shows no errors but the metadata is not importing. I am running Bridge CC2017 in Mac OS Sierra 10.12.4 and Acrobat 11.
The field I need to import is Desc (Description).
I found the script in the archives so possibly there is a newer version and/or one specific to .pdfs?
Maybe just need to add/change a bit of code in this script?
