Squeezing more speed out of scripts

It's probably common knowledge, but I thought I'd share this one:

Make a new workspace in photoshop with all your windows closed. Just go into the 'window' menu, un-check everything and save it. Add your script to an action. Make the first step in your action change the workspace to your new 'empty' workspace and then carry out your other steps. Make the last step in the action change the workspace back to your regular one. If you're anything like me, closing 5-6 panes will give you quite a speed bump.

I used to do this with CS2 what version are you using? Newer versions have app.togglePalettes()
